The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) announced today the continuation of the Cross-Country Pick 4 for Sunday, July 30 that will include the Grade 1 Haskell Invitational at Monmouth Park and the Grade 3 Shuvee at Saratoga Race Course.

The 1 1/8 mile Haskell Invitational (G1) is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and the excitement surrounding Sunday’s race goes beyond the $1,000,000 purse. Six of the seven entries ran in the Kentucky Derby, and the Haskell favorite Irish War Cry was runner-up in the Belmont Stakes. The Haskell Invitational winner receives an automatic fees paid entry to the Breeders’ Cup Classic Nov. 4 at Del Mar. The Haskell is a “Win and You’re In” Breeders’ Cup Challenge race, and the only automatic Breeders’ Cup Classic berth offered in a race limited to three-year-olds.
The Haskell Invitational cheat sheet provides a capsule on each horse with lifetime records, running style, top speed figures, pedigree, jockey and trainer along with notable achievements.
