The Florida Cup Day card is one of Tampa Bay Downs’ most lucrative attractions and will feature the 14 Hands Winery Sophomore Turf and the EG Vodka Turf Classic. With the inclusion of the two spirit companies, the Florida Cup will feature six title sponsors for the first time ever.

“We are delighted to be joined by EG Vodka and 14 Hands Winery in presenting what promises to be a tremendous day of Thoroughbred racing,” said Tampa Bay Downs Vice President of Marketing and Publicity Margo Flynn. “We look forward to long and rewarding partnerships with both companies, as well as to introducing their quality products to our customers.”

This will be EG Vodka’s first thoroughbred racing sponsorship deal. 14 Hands Winery is the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies title sponsor and is also a sponsor of the Kentucky Derby.

“As our name indicates, our brand has a very natural tie to horses and horse events,” said 14 Hands Winery Marketing Manager Rebekah Gunderson. “The partnership with the Florida Cup Sophomore Turf Stakes is a good way to extend the association with horse racing that we’ve already established through our sponsorship of the Kentucky Derby.”

The other stakes races on the Florida Cup Day card are the Hilton Garden Inn/Hampton Inn & Suites Sprint, the Stonehedge Farm South Sophomore Fillies, the Pleasant Acres Stallions Distaff Turf, and the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Sophomore.
